If you are on the fence, wait for a sale.. I've never been able to play this game due to a bug they've never bothered fixing. The turn based combat doesn't seem like it would work on first blush, but it actually works pretty well and might be the best part of the game. That being said, I quit playing because the game just started feeling too, well... deadlocked. Back and forth and back and forth over systems, defeating the Cylons, warping out, having new Cylons warp in... I know that there was some sort of payoff to the endgame (I hope), but I couldn't be bothered to keep going. Still, worth buying if it's on sale.
